LAN 6
03/06/2007 - 02:52 PM - Oz
LAN 6 will be held at Ryte-Byte, this time in the actual store in the back, not the place beside it.
This will be a smaller lan, no sponsors, probably no prizes, and it will be held rather soon, March 31st and April 1st. Thats about 3 weeks from now so don't forget to call off work.
Since its a smaller LAN the price will only be 10$ per person. We also need tables and chairs so anyone that can bring in some 6-8 foot tables can get in for free, no card tables plz.
Games will be the usual, probably a lot of CS:S since thats always been the biggest game. But we will try to get some Battlefield, COD, Halo, and some UT in there as well.
Im working with Kurt from Ryte-Byte right now to clear out the back area, so far its lookin like the setup will be nicer than in our last room.

LAN 5 Turnout
09/11/2006 - 11:48 AM - Oz
Though there were fewer people for lan 5 we still had a good LAN. TaeGukGi and Makaveli Came out on top in the CS:S tournament. Oz and Bigspoon had the amazing folding chair race, which Oz won. Izytang, Oz, and Ernest played some mean guitar. Stats server was up and working fine, will add a link to the resulting stats soon.

LAN 5 Date change!
07/26/2006 - 01:03 AM - Oz
Due to complications at my job I had to change the date for LAN 5. It will now be held 1 week earlier, thats September 9th and 10th, Saturday and Sunday. I figured moving it closer was better than pushing it further back.

07/26/2006 - 01:02 AM - Oz
[EDIT]Lan 5 will be held September 9th and 10th, starting at 11am on Saturday and lasting until 8pm on Sunday. It will be held at the same location as our last lan. Price will now be $15.79, we had to raise the price 79 cents to cover the charge that paypal gives us. We also have a new intranet site that will be used during the event to handle tournaments, seating, file servers, game servers, and game/user stats for some games. Tournament organization will be much smoother than in the past, so don't miss out! Please check our forums for more information or any questions.

So after our last lan party the founders and main support staff had a meeting to discuss everything that went down and try to figure out how to make it go easier. We've figured out that we need to do some re-organizing and such delegating more responsibilities to individuals and creating more of a hierarchy thus making us far more organized. We are also going to hold off announcement of the next lan date until we have got everything well planned out including tournaments, prizes, possible buy in tournament with a cash prize ect. these preperations will take at least a week if not 2 for us to get to the point where we are prepared for the announcment of another lan date. My personal goal for announcing our next lan is going to be around the end of June. key word there is GOAL. but when we put a date up rest assured that we will be ready to have it on that date and it will be more organized and there fore give us more opportunity to help out with people's issues and mingle.
